Left side
1/2" oak was used for the notebook slots and can be removed for more storage space.
Envelope slots are separated with 3/16" oak.
From left to right, speaker opening, cd shelf, below is a place for papers. A cabinet with small oak door shelf for holding small items, space below cabinet for more books and papers.
Lights can be added above speaker openings. I drilled a 2 1/8" hole in front of each speaker opening to flush mount the halogen lights and ran the wires to the back through a 1/4" hole drilled carefully through the top of the hutch, aprox 8" through the wood.
